Last week ABD Solutions supported NP Aerospace by demonstrating their retrofit autonomous driving solutions during a defence technology demonstration day.
The demonstration, which was held at the Horiba MIRA proving ground in the UK, was designed to introduce various new technologies to members of Defence Equipment & Support, the British Army and the UK Ministry of Defence.
During this interactive event, ABD Solutions provided a live demonstration of its core product technology performing automated driving while fitted to a current British Army Wolfhound heavy protected personnel vehicle.
The visitors were able to see first-hand the vehicle agnostic solution in action and to better understand the benefits of the technology, including its easy and non-intrusive fitment and its simple to operate user interface and control system.
Automating functions such as resupply and logistics convoys can help defence organisations increase the safety of personnel by removing them from harm’s way when in high-risk operational scenarios. ABD Solutions’ driverless technology also increases operational efficiency by allowing better use of soldiers and vehicles in theatre.
